Lover's Tell: Internalizing the Gospel to Express the Gospel

Ever come away from a conference like this with big dreams and desires of how to reach out to your peers and have an impact for Christ, but when the rubber meets the road, the plans just do not pan out? Why is it that no matter how much evangelism training we receive, it is often--if not always--easier to talk about a girlfriend or boyfriend, football, or even a good movie than it is to talk to others about our King and Savior, Jesus. Come explore the disconnects in our souls, that keep us from being the light of the world to those around us...And leave this conference with not only good equipping and plans, but addressing heart issues that enable and empower you to express the Gospel to others and impact the Kingdom significantly.

How Does the Gospel Give Us the Passion to Live Out the Christian Life?

Have you ever been frustrated by the disconnect between what you believe and how you live? Justification happens the moment that we become a Christian through faith in Christ. Sanctification is the process of a Christian becoming more like Jesus. In this seminar we will explore how justification can produce sanctification in our life. In other words we will be looking at how understanding and believing what Jesus did for us will cause us to live lives worthy of the gospel.

Celebrating Culture in a World of Multiculturalism

Multiculturalism is a hot topic these days on campus, TV, in the church, and in the world in general. Technology has made our world ‘smaller,’ and as a result we are increasingly exposed to different cultures. This seminar is designed to answer the question ‘What is culture’ and provide a foundation to how culture fits with who God has created us to be.

How to Read the Bible for Yourself

The question I am most commonly asked in ministry is how can I learn to read the Bible for myself. This seminar is designed to give you some basic tools that will allow you to get the most out of God’s Word by reading a text in its original context and responsibly applying it to your life and ministry in the 21st century.

Cultivating Your Relationship With God

Are your quiet times with God dry as dust? Do you find yourself falling asleep while you are having your devotions? Come spend 50 minutes exploring how to make time with God more meaningful and dig out treasures from the Word that you have never seen before. You will leave with a proven method to understand what the Bible is really saying and be inspired and excited about spending time with God.

iServe

As followers of Christ we must recognize and respond to the great needs in and around us. If we do not then Jesus tells us to “depart from me” (Matt. 25:41). If your walk with the Lord is not what it should be or you just want to find out more about how to serve others in response to the Gospel then “iServe” is a seminar you do not want to miss. We will look at the Gospel, Social Justice, Worldviews & various opportunities to make an eternal impact all around the world.

Leadership in the Light

What difference does Christ make when it comes to leadership? Come learn about the distinctive difference scripture brings to light on how we lead in our student organizations, careers, ministries, and communities. We will look at some key passages of scripture, some great
examples of Gospel-driven leaders, and a case study so that you can begin to think through how you can grow as a Christ-centered leader.

Doctrine Survey

What does the Bible say about alcohol? How far is too far? Can someone lose their salvation? If I’m saved, should I still obey God? What promises are there in prayer? What does the Bible say about Heaven and Hell? What should I look for in a spouse? The Doctrine Survey answers these questions as well as sets up structure for discipleship.

Living in the Light

We will look at practical ways to live out freedom from sexual sins and struggles through experiencing the gospel of God’s forgiveness and righteousness.

Being Satisfied in Jesus When He Doesn't Feel Satisfying

One of the greatest misconceptions in our current Christian culture is that if someone is growing in their relationship with God, then they will feel it. We commonly believe that intimacy with Christ will result in a deep feeling of closeness and satisfaction in Him. This can certainly be true and many times is true. However, what about the times in our Christian experience when we don’t feel satisfied in Christ? In this seminar, we’ll talk about these things and explore Biblically how we must ultimately place our faith not in our feelings but in the reliability and truthfulness of Jesus and His word.

Finding Joy in Every Trial

Suffering is an inevitable occurrence in life. However, we tend to avoid every possible hardship and often wonder how a loving God could allow bad things to happen to us. In this seminar we will take a look at God’s purpose for hardships, the benefits of suffering, and how YOU can experience joy in every trial.
